Care

To preserve an attractive appearance of your escalators and moving walkways for 20 or 30 years proper care and maintenance is required. A condition for faultless operation is regular cleaning.

When cleaning the surfaces no caustic, solvent or abrasive materials, detergents or polishes should be used.
Please observe

Switch off the escalator or moving walkway before cleaning

Make sure that water and other liquids do not enter the inside of the escalator or moving walkway

Synthetic material surfaces may only be cleaned with a mild soap solution. If other substances are used (e.g. with a high alcohol content) the material will become dull or brittle

Painted parts and aluminium surfaces should only be wiped with a damp cloth and rubbed with a dry cotton cloth

Chromed parts should only be wiped clean with a dry cotton cloth

*Use brushes with synthetic or natural bristles! Under no circumstances use a brush with wire bristles.
